Dextrose Monohydrate
Dextrose Monohydrate is a mono-saccharide
derived from enzymatic hydrolysis of starch. It is
characterized by its high nutritive value and excellent
digestibility. Because of its high level of sweetness,
75% that of table sugar, or sucrose, Dextrose Monohydrate is used in
the production of a very broad
range of confectionary, bakery and energy drink products.
Grades and Standards
Pure Chem Dextrose Monohydrate is compliant to all U.S., British
and European Pharmacopoeias
Dextrose Anhydrous
Dextrose Anhydrous is the
purest form of crystalline dextrose. It is known as a
health sugar, and has broad applications in the
pharmaceutical industry. Because of its taste-masking
and quick energy properties, Dextrose Anhydrous is used
in very many oral re-hydration salts. Because it is free
of pyrogens, it can be directly injected into the
bloodstream. |

injectable (Pyrogen-free) grades and is
compliant with U.S., British and European pharmacopoeias.
Sorbitol
Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol
hydrogenised from dextrose or liquid glucose. It can be found
naturally in a
variety of fruit and vegetables. Because of its influence on
viscosity and its chemical and bacterial
stability, Sorbitol is widely used as a bulking agent in such
product categories as detergents, toothpaste
and personal care products. It is often found in very fine
cosmetic products
Sorbitol is also a natural sweetener with a very pleasant taste
and can easily replace sucrose in many
food applications. An attractive attribute of Sorbitol is that
it does not promote tooth decay and is
metabolized independently from insulin, having a low Glycemic
Index. This makes it an attractive
ingredient for the marketers of food products to consumer
markets concerned with health.
Grades and Standards
Pure Chem Sorbitol is available in many grades – from high, pure
crystallizing grade to non
crystallizing grade and is compliant with U.S., British, and
European Pharmacopeias. We also meet the
Japanese Industrial Standard.
Maltitol
Maltitol is a low calorie
bulk sweetener with a sugar-like taste and sweetness. Its
stability and chemical structure make it suitable for a
variety of reduced-calorie, reduced-fat and sugar-free
foods. Maltitol’s high sweetness level, 90% of table sugar,
means it can be used without the need of high sweeteners. It
is especially useful in the production of sweets like
sugar-free ice cream, jam, chocolates, hard candies, chewing
gum, and baked goods, creams and fillings, diary and juice
products. |
